The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) was co-hosted by Zambia and Zimbabwe in August 2013.
In order to prepare for such a feat Zambia had embarked on the expansion project of Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.
Southern Province permanent secretary Dr Chileshe Mulenga undertook a tour of the construction project in October 2012.

It is expected that hundreds of local and foreign delegates will arrive in Livingstone, via the Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.
