Royal Zambezi Lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River and just minutes from the Lower Zambezi National Park. The Lodge is a family-owned property.
The Lodge has 14 guest rooms consisting of ten Classic Suites and four Deluxe Suites.
The suites provide a scenic overlook of the Zambezi River giving you sightings of different species of animals as they come to the Zambezi River for their water needs.
As a guest of the Lodge, you will be availed access to a lot of wildlife in the Lower Zambezi Park.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is opposite Mana Pools Park of Zimbabwe on the other side of the Zambezi River.
Although Lower Zambezi National Park is small in size compared to other Zambian game sanctuaries (4092 square kilometres), the Park has a variety of wild animals. The most common are elephant, waterbuck, kudu, hippo, crocodiles, zebra, and buffalo. Sightings of eland, roan and hyena are not rare.

Tiger fishing is the most popular form of sport fishing in Zambia and the Zambezi River is the most popular Zambian fishing destination for most Zambian tourists.
Not surprising therefore that the Lodge offers fishing safaris on the Zambezi River. It is renowned for its world-class tiger and fly fishing.
Tiger fishing is best between September-March although it is done all year-round.
