As you reach Mpatamatu main station and at the same time the main market, the lodge can be reached in just under a kilometre from the market towards the west.
Incidentally, Mpatamatu Township is just 14 kilometres away from Luanshya town. So this is the place where K-mies guest house and lodge is. It is ideally located near the market area and the shops, including a number of well stocked shops if you want to stock up and several drinking places if you want to venture out.
The police station and post office are also part of the institutions near the market area. So you are never far away from help.
Currently, K-mies is operating four rooms which are all doubles. However, the lodge is undergoing some expansion that includes more guest rooms, reception and staff offices to improve service delivery.
K-mies has a nice cozy bar for your relaxation and refreshment. The lounge and bar has satellite TV to update you on world events.
Included in the lodge is a restaurant which is open to residents and non-residents and serves Zambian dishes. Western dishes are also served on request.
K-mies guest house and lodge has made a mark as being the first and so far the only lodge to operate in Mpatamatu. From humble beginnings, K-mies guest house has defied all odds to become the first lodge in Mpatamatu!
So next time you come to Mpatamatu and you don’t have a place to stay at, try K-mies.
