1918 First to open branch in Fort Jameson.

1957 Late Queen Mother paid first Royal visit to Zambia and attended reception at Kitwe branch.

1967 Introduction of mobile banking using Land Rovers to provide banking services in remote areas.

1968 Ndola branch first to distribute the newly independent Zambia Kwacha currency.

1991 First Zambian President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda opened the first business centre in Zambia.

1996 First debit card (connect card) and ATMs launched in Zambia.

2002 Appointment of first female MD in the group was also first in Zambian banking.

2009 First to introduce the Premier Banking proposition and centre.

2010 First to introduce the intelligent deposit taking ATM.

2010 Branch network at 55 branches, 151 ATMs, employees at 1, 237.

1 January, 2013 First bank to distribute the rebased kwacha

2014 First bank to introduce the Kwacha based credit card.
