Palmwood Lodge came into existence in 1999 when its proud owner, Mable Sissing decided to turn her three bedroomed house into a lodge! Infact, its friendly atmosphere is a reflection of its origins.
With an outdoor pool, landscaped gardens and a restaurant, the Lodge is located within Chudleigh, a Lusaka suburb. It is located at about 13 kilometres from Lusaka Airport and offers free parking.
The Lodge sits in a beautiful location, with leafy lovely gardens, away from the hubbub of city life. It doesn't feel like you are in the 'big city' of Lusaka! The surroundings have an awesome ambience and are well-maintained.
The place is a “Pleasant hideaway!” It is a great place, at least for those who prefer a bit more of African atmosphere over boring all-over-the-world-same hotels in which you can't escape the air conditioning.
It has 40 guest rooms and a lot of other facilities for your convenience. There is varied accommodation to cater for different tastes. These are the main lodge, cottage and motel-style accommodation units. Indeed, all your needs will be met; whether you are a business traveller, a tourist or you are on a family outing.
The restaurant is at your disposal for your food requirements. You can cool yourself at the swimming pool or unwind at the bar. It is the ideal place to organize your conferences, to hold a cocktail party or simply to relax in its luxurious gardens.
With a variety of conference facilities, the place is an ideal venue for your corporate functions and family occasions. Electronic facilities are available and the business centre has fax, typing and wireless internet services.
Apart from the Beth Hall (which sits up to 120 people) and the King Palm Hall, the lodge has six other conference rooms. The executive lounge is used for small conferences of less than 15 delegates and also the boardroom which has a capacity of 18.
