The Technical And Vocational Teachers College (TVTC) was established in 1975. Its main purpose was to provide teacher education in order to service training institutions.
Since its establishment, the Technical And Vocational Teachers College has produced craft men and women, technicians, Technologists and Teachers who today are contributing to the development of the Zambian economy.
The college is located in Luanshya town, a copper mining town on the Copperbelt province of Zambia. The college premises are along Shala Road, off Buntungwa Avenue. It houses the administrative offices, Training Departments and the student hostels.

The College is registered with TEVETA and is under the department of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training.
The college strives to provide the highest quality Technical and Vocational education in accordance with its mission statement which is;
To provide quality Technical and Vocational Teacher Training and tailor made programmes in a cost effective manner in both the formal and informal sectors to enhance individual and national development.
