The Elephant Oasis Bush Dinners is a truly authentic African experience! From the food, attire, drumming, singing and dancing, everything is traditional! It’s a good introduction to the Zambian people, their food, culture and tradition.

Elephant Oasis Bush Dinners is one place where you can sample the best of traditional Zambian cuisine and culture in a charming village setting. It is one place where you can enjoy dinner under the stars supplemented by a lot of Zambian traditional dancing which always goes with a lot of drumming, singing, and clapping.

The Elephant Oasis Guests Keeping Warm

The usual dress code for all the guests is the Zambian chitenge, which is worn across the shoulders in the Toka Leya tradition were by women have the note tied on their left side and men on their right side on top of their other clothing.

Location

It is 2 kilometers from Livingstone town, along Mosi-O-Tunya Road, next to Gwembe safaris and about 4 kilometers from the mighty Victoria Falls. Whichever Hotel or Lodge you are booked at, transfers from and back to your local hotels within Livingstone is provided.

Food

It’s an opportunity to taste the warm, mouthwatering flavours of the distinct traditional Zambian food. The food includes anything from fresh game meats, nshima, a variety of traditional vegetables, peanut chicken, fish to fried caterpillars and a lot more.

You can also enjoy Munkoyo, perhaps the most favorite and well-known Zambian traditional non-alcoholic beverage.

Duration

Proceedings start around 6:30 in the evening starting with a guest welcome ceremony and last for about three hours every evening during the dry season from 1st April to 30th October.
