The Times of Zambia is another Zambian owned paper in addition to the Zambia Daily Mail.
Currently the paper has its headquarters at Kabelenga Avenue in Ndola.
It was privately owned by Lonrho group of companies up to 3rd August 1983 when it was taken over by the United National Independence Party(UNIP), the then ruling party of Zambia.
The ownership did not change even after the Multiparty Democracy (MMD) came into power in November 1991, despite the paper going to court claiming that the former ruling party had illegally taken over the Newspaper. The court ruled that the paper be transferred to the Government.
The paper comes out daily from Monday to Saturday but on Sunday it publishes the Sunday Times.
The newspaper is published in English and it is also available online. Other branches for the paper are;
