Here’s Shakas Camping Park In Kafue Town!

It was on 5th June 2010 when I stumbled upon Shakas Camping Park. This was the day when I was coming from Lusaka where I had been giving support to comrades who where taking part in the 10th Inter company relay.

Shaka’s hill Camping Park is just a few kilometers from Kafue town.

As you come from Kafue town, turn left immediately before the billboard which proclaims “EZ”.

To be exact, it is 14 km from Kafue town. However, if you are coming from Lusaka, at the same junction, it is 29 km.

There is also a turn off at Shimabala leading to the camp site, if you are coming from Lusaka going to Kafue town. When you reach Shimabala turn-off turn right or alternatively ask for help --- anyone will be delighted to direct you to the place.

At the hill camping park, I observed six (6) camp houses, a toilet with bathing showers for weary travelers, and a bar stocked with all kinds of beers – competitively priced!

Spacious surroundings are available. Indeed you can hire the place for any function that you may have.
