How was the 2013 Zambian inflation rate like in 2013?
2013 Zambian inflation target of 7.0 per cent was announced by Minister of finance Mr Alexander B Chikwanda on
12 October 2013 during his Budget Speech. The theme of the budget was ‘Delivering inclusive development and social justice’.
What were the monthly rates?

Though the country hit the end of year target of 7 percent for the month of January 2013, it failed by 0.1 percentage
points to hit the end of year inflation target of 7.0 per cent, and the actual turned out to be 7.1 percent.
The country saw the inflation rate stand at 7 percent from January, then droped slightly to 6.9 percent in February.
The rate stayed that way or slightly lower during the following months until June and July when it increased to 7.1 per cent.

The December 2013
rate close at 7.1 percent for the year.
The November 2013 inflation
rate increased to 7.0 percent from 6.9 percent recorded in October.
October 2013 inflation
to 6.9 percent from 7 percent recorded in August
The September 2013 inflation
decreased by 0.1 percent from 7.1 percent recorded in August.
August 2013 inflation
down by 0.2 percentage points from 7.3 last month
to 7.1 percent in August.
July 2013 inflation
rate remained unchanged
at 7.3 per cent, the same as that of June 2013.
June 2013 inflation
increases marginally by 0.3 percent!
Up goes the May 2013 inflation
to 7 per cent!

The March 2013 inflation rate
– down again, now to 6.6 Percent!
The February 2013
Zambia inflation rate dips to 6.9 percent.
The inflation rate for the month of
